Castlegate’s Christmas 2023 Event Highlights

By | In the Community | No Comments

In December 2023, we had the pleasure of hosting our client Christmas Event at Doddington Hall. It was a wonderful occasion with a great turnout. Guests enjoyed afternoon tea, a tour of the hall themed as the Twelve Days of Christmas and a charity raffle.

The participating charities received a donation of £330 each, mostly from Castlegate clients. We want to take this opportunity, once again, to thank everyone who attended and who gave so generously. Please keep an eye out for further events this year!

“We would like to express our sincere thanks for an excellent afternoon. The exhibition was imaginative and really well presented. Both Doddington and Castlegate teams were very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed the afternoon tea and chatting with the other guests. Many thanks to all at Castlegate.”

For those interested in the charities we chose to support at our 2023 Christmas Event, please see below for more information about their organisations and activities.

Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance

The charity provides valuable pre-hospital critical care to residents in the Midlands. In 2022 they responded to 1,620 emergencies across our counties. They receive no government funding and rely solely on public donations.

“Our team of doctors and paramedics carry life-saving equipment on board the helicopter and critical care cars which means they take an emergency department directly to the scene of some of the most serious incidents in Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire. Our crews work closely with the ambulance service, first responders, Police, Fire & Rescue, and other emergency services such as HM Coastguard”.

Wild Things Rescue

Dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing native, British wildlife, Wild Things Rescue is making a huge contribution to our local ecosystem. Based in Lincolnshire, they work closely with veterinary practices, the RSPCA and members of the public – offering advice, assistance and a rehabilitation fostering system run entirely by volunteers.

With monthly running costs of around £2,500, they are always in need of funds. They admit a large number of wildlife casualties and orphans every year and the numbers keep on growing.

They are always looking for volunteers to become a fosterer, transporter or fundraiser.

Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Foundation

PMSF UK is a charity dedicated to supporting those with Phelan-McDermid Syndrome, as well as their loved ones.

“We provide support to people and their families in the UK who have Phelan-McDermid Syndrome (chromosome 22q13.3 deletion). This support is provided through information, therapies, and financial grants, and by organising family days and get-togethers. Thank you for supporting PMSF UK”.

Thanks again,

The Castlegate Team
