Please Support Heathers 50km Charity Walk for PM Syndrome
Here at Castlegate, we are proud to announce that one of our team will be taking on a walking challenge to raise awareness of a rare genetic condition.
Heather Hodson will be walking 50km to champion the cause of Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Foundation UK (PMSF UK). Phelan-McDermid Syndrome (PMS) concerns the erasure, or loss, of chromosome 22q13.3.
PMS results in conditions such as developmental delay and can cause autism, mobility issues and functional language problems. In the UK, over 300 families are believed to be affected, and PMSF UK exists to support them.
There is currently no cure for PMS. At Castlegate, we want to support Heather in her efforts to help raise awareness and support for this important cause. You can read more about her story on the Grantham Journal website, here.
Castlegate will continue to support PMSF UK and look forward to holding other events and initiatives in the future, to promote their good work.
Please consider donating to PMSF UK and/or to Heather’s Just Giving page.
