Grantham Foodbank – £1,000 Donation
Recently at Castlegate, some of our team attended a guided tour of Grantham Foodbank. They spoke about how the foodbank helps many families within our community, and we admired their efforts to “provide a hand up, not a hand out”.
We were moved by how organised and integrated the operation is within the community and how much it relies on donations to keep going. Sadly, more and more families are relying on it to enable them to maintain a dignified life.
The latter part of 2022 has been a difficult year for many, with the rising cost of living affecting many households in Grantham and across the wider Midlands. To help, we have donated £1,000 to the Grantham Foodbank which should translate to approximately £4,000 to £5,000 of food at supermarket prices (due to the organisation’s buying power with suppliers).
We wish the team the very best in its efforts to help people in our community.
