Castlegate’s Charities of the Year: Grantham Children’s Disabled Society and Societi (#TeamToms)
At Castlegate, we are dedicated to giving back to our communities and each year our team nominate a new selected charity to support. This year, for the first time, we are thrilled to announce that our team have chosen two incredible organisations: Grantham Children’s Disabled Society and #TeamToms for Societi.
Grantham Children’s Disabled Society
The Grantham Children’s Disabled Society is a parent-led group that provides vital support to families with children who have disabilities. Based at Elmer House in Grantham, the society organises inclusive social events and provides a crucial support network for families, helping them to navigate the challenges of raising children with additional needs.
#TeamToms for Societi
#TeamToms is a fundraising initiative under Societi, the UK Foundation for Kawasaki Disease. This campaign was inspired by the memory of Tommy Rodgers, who tragically lost his battle with Kawasaki Disease at just 14 months old. Kawasaki Disease is the leading cause of acquired heart disease in children in the UK, and early diagnosis is critical for effective treatment. #TeamToms aims to raise awareness and funds to support research and education about this serious condition.
We are proud to support these two remarkable organisations and their missions. Throughout the year, we will be organising and participating in various fundraising events and we invite our clients and community members to join us in raising awareness and funds for these causes. Together, we can make a significant impact and help improve the lives of children and families.
