Third Annual Charity Golf Day – Castlegate in the Community
On 5th June 2024, 60 clients and guests hit the fairways at Sleaford Golf Club for our 3rd Castlegate Charity Golf Day.
Having assembled in the Clubhouse for breakfast rolls and coffee, golfers were allocated their hole for the Shotgun start and things teed off at 9.30. With the wet Spring we have had the rough was high and lush, and hitting the fairways and staying on course was a must if a good score was to be had.
Despite this, the course was presented excellently and the greens were running true and fast.
The format of the golf was Am-Am teams of 4 with the best 2 out of 4 scores to count at each hole. 4 teams managed to score above par and the winners were :

The golf was followed by an excellent carvery in the Clubhouse where prizes were presented and the raffle was drawn. We managed to raise a magnificent £1,060 to be split between 3 local charities:
